Overview

Westlind Engineering delivered a high-impact LED infrastructure installation within Heathrow Terminal 5. The project involved 882 metres of structural steel and 7 custom LED towers.

Challenge // 01WL · 01

Challenge

An updated LED screen needed to be mounted to an existing tower — a complex structure that no standard fixing system could accommodate. The mounting had to work around the tower's existing geometry while supporting the new screen securely and finishing to a high visual standard.

Solution // 02WL · 02

Solution

Westlind designed a bespoke mounting system built around the existing structure. We engineered custom brackets to fit the tower precisely, made them straightforward to install on site, and finished the installation to a high standard with precision cladding.
